I'm at my sister and cousin's H.S. graduation tonight, minding my business. As we were going into the venue, I had the following exchange with my aunt's ex:
Him: You should have gotten your hair done.
Me: My hair is done.
Now, I let him off easy in the interest of preserving the peace but some people just don't stop until you cut them, even if it's just with your tongue (which I'm well known for). So, I'm inside enjoying the ceremony when this negro proceeds to lean across my mom:
Him: Your hair looks nappy.
Me: That's the point.
Him:
Me: And for future reference, when I want your opinion of me I'll give it to you. That's all *while making a shooing motion ala Miranda Priestly*
And then I carried on with my night.

He had some nerve! You handled yourself well.
Beautifully done!
It always amazes me when black men can't accept a natural black woman. It's a wonder we have issues accepting our own hair. I bet your locks looked wonderful!!!
Good job!!!!
I'm just laughing!! What a hilarious comeback!! Go you!!
